Love this little guy.

There isn't anything that I don't like about this. I'm a firefighter and use it as a seatbelt cutter/ multi purpose knife. The way it sits on my belt is perfect and even stays out of the way when I put bunker gear over it. I hugs the body and doesn't snag like other fixed blade knives. It came super sharp and the reverse draw is lightning quick. Recommend to any LE, Firefighter or military people. Thanks for a great knife!

Great Product!

I bought this knife for use as was weapon retention tool. It is uniquely suited for off side carry and weak hand deployment. The quality and construction is consistent with the long history and tradition of KA-BAR'S products. This tool fits well in the hand and is ergonomically engineered for both forward and reverse gripping. It features a full tang blade; contoured handles, large serrations, durable finish and includes as very usable belt clip sheath. The TDI and belt clip sheath fit unobtrusively under my duty belt on the front of my off side. I can access the TDI for deployment with either my strong or weak hand easily.

Great handle, sharp blade. Use caution when removing & replacing the blade, a mis grip or miss when returning the blade to the sheath you will need a bandaid or two! Don't get upset when the finish wears off while using it, that's called character!

Nice & sharp!

These is a nice tool to have on your belt loop all day. Very comfortable, you won't feel it on you even when seated. The blade is pretty sharp, I cut myself several time drawing it too quickly. A little practice is needed to master the quick draw without cutting yourself. Maybe some of the other guys got a dull knife that slipped though the quality process. Kar Bar is normally good with making a sharp knife.

Serrated edge not needed!

The blade is to small for a serrated edge, buy the non-serrated version.

good tool

I am in law enforcement, I wear this behind my magazine pouches.of course I haven't had to use it, but I can see it as a good option for weapon retention, it deploys easily but stays locked in place with no fear of it falling out, it's very comfortable on the belt and does not dig into my stomach even when sitting.I also wear this on an ankle holster as well, nice and light. blade needs to be sharper though, it's ok , sharp, will be fine for slashing. this is not a stabbing weapon as the blade is too short to reach vitals, it's a slasher so you want the edge SHARP!

Faster draw, switched from folder to this for retention

I normally carry an Emerson folder for weapon retention purposes. I watched the YouTube videos showing the TDI demos on how this blade can be employed. I was impressed enough to try one od these out for the purpose of using it in lieu of a folder for retention. After practicing with this blade and making adjustments to where it should be placed, I am confident that I made the right decision. To begin with, with a folder, you are limited to where to place it. Normally, I like a weapons retention tool to be on my support hand side. But, drawing and opening the knife with my support hand is tedious and slow. With the TDI and its sheath, I can place it on my beltline wherever I choose. Also, it can be deployed with either hand. So even with one arm encumbered, I can deploy the blade. The two complaints that I have are that it is not made in America and that the handle has a slightly cheaper feel to it. It I were to suggest anything, I would design the handle from G10 material. Other than those negatives, I am very satisfied with this blade for it's intended function.
