Its a ka-bar. That means perfect fit & finish in my experience. Not sure if you could call it a fit problem, but the plastic washer things on the ends of the handle were very sharp and wider than the guard, uncomfortable but easily fixed Not sure why but the handle is thinner than the kraton rubber models, not much of an issue The tang of these old models are the same size as the tang on the mini version, which is annoying from a "what if" perspective, though due to that and the leather material it is a very light knife despite the huge pommel. Smelled VERY strongly of leather when i got it, kinda funny
