Exceptional Knife for the Price
First off, WOW! How awesome is it to have a knife called the zombie killer pestilence chopper, that just sounds intimidating. Yes, this knife is following the zombie fad going around, but it's so much more than just another fad knife. It follows the Ka-bar tradition in being a high quality knife at a great price. You couldn't get a better knife, for the price. The steel is sk5, which is a quality high carbon steel. The handle scales are hard plastic, which may appear to be cheap, but they will take much more abuse than rubber or kraton. The handle is very large, but it takes a saber grip very well. I love the simple but effective gimping on the blade. Now on to this crazy blade design. It's huge! The blade is just over 10 inches with an over all length of almost 15 3/4. The weight of the knife is right at a pound. Do to the style of point, stabbing is out of the question, however, do the the increasing width toward the tip, this will cause centrical force when the knife is used in chopping or slashing. The forward tip will make a great snap cut as well. The blade is designed very well for its purpose, lopping heads off of the undead, plus it just looks cool. Now on to the sheath. It is an effective sheath for a knife this size. It's slightly bulky, but any sheath is going to be bulky on a knife this huge. The pocket on this sheath can hold a pop can! Imagine how much survival stuff can go in that! It also comes with a little piggy back knife that's alright, but not overly impressive. Now probably the most distinguishing feature on this monster is the green handle. It fits in nicely with the whole zombie theme, and it really sets this knife off and gives it character. The green actually serves a purpose as well. If dropped, especially in tall grass or leaves, this thing will stand out like a beacon, plus I think it just plain looks cool. But if you're going to be boring, the knife comes with great-looking black handle scales as well. Two thumbs way up Ka-Bar! You won't be able to find this type of quality with such a great price tag.
