Another Great Tweener

Exactly as anticipated! It is a flat grind BK16 with a much more delicate "stabby" spear point tip. (I am NOT going to test the tip.) This BK19 is a better slicer. If batoning is your thing, I'd stick with the BK16. It has a rough ground "toothy" but definitely working sharp edge, just strop it and it will be fine. The Factory Edge will be sharp enough for most. I have already polished the edge on mine as I always do. Sheath has great retention, even without the retaining strap. The retaining strap and snap fit perfectly! Sheath seems very durable with Zero rattle. I don't see how it could fail. Weight on my scale - Knife only 6.17 oz., w/Sheath 9.81 oz. Fit and Finish is very good. Over all, No complaints, NONE. Well, one nit picky complaint. The Ethan Becker signature is blocked on the back plate of the sheath. It needs to be moved down by 1/4" to 1/2" at least! The signature is stamped / pressed / engraved (whatever) into the plastic material of both front and back pieces. They did not anticipate, or mismeasured, the installation of the belt loop attachment on the back plate which partially covers it up. I really like that little extra detail on the sheath, but they mucked it up on the back. OCD? It is fine on the front. I hope somebody does a version in black like they did with the BK18. I like the profile of the BK19 a lot better than the BK18 "harpoon". I am a BK15
