Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Feel, Pocket Clip

Love the blade, not so much the handle

At the price point I am not disappointed. Just like the other BK series knives, the design is made around function. The blade is hair popping sharp, just ask my arm. The pocket clip is ok for a pocket clip. Nothing fancy, just functional. The handle is where the good stops. I knew going into it that they are GFN handle scales and thats ok. They have a cheap plastic feel but the handles on the BK7 and BK9 are the same feel. Don't get me wrong they are comfortable and fit my hand very well. I would bet you can buy aftermarket ones to customize it to your liking in the near future. Looks like I will just have to wait for some nice Micarta to be made.

Decent Outdoor Pocket Folder

I was hesitent at first, but decided this was a good user knife. There isn't really anything elegant or fantastic about it, and after watching Knifecenter's BladeShow 2021 interview with Ethan Becker, I was convinced that this knife is exactly what it was supposed to be. At first, you want it to be a folding version of of the tougher fixed blades, you will be dissappointed. From Ethan Becker's perspective, you want a knife you don't care about to really use with an inexpensive price where you don't fret about losing it. Time will tell about how it holds up, as with most new knives. It opens well, but slightly stiff, but not a deal breaker. I wish it was a little better steel, but meets the price point and competes with similar options. Not 100% confident in lock, but so far seems fine.

Great for the price

Rotated this knife into my EDC and its very good. Handle is very comfortable, but smooth. I found it hard to open and close with one hand. It may just need to be broken in. The four position clip needs a very small torx bit (t8 or t6) to relocate that is not included with the knife. Blade itself is very useful, sharp and well designed. CHINA is etched on the back spine which is annoying. I personally don't like a liner lock and this one isn't anything special, don't rely to heavily on it.

Ok for daily usage .

This knife is a budget knife to be used indeed every time needed ,without being worry that you scratch it or any other thing . It came fast (thank you KC) , it has some back and front play ,very minor , I tightened the pivot to be more solid opened but still that play is there very-very little . It has bronze or copper washers around the pivot . Not a big fan of wire pocket clip but appear to be solid and stay likewise in my pocket -ok with that . Good ergonomics .Blade -AUS 8 its sharpened ok , different angle per side -does not bother me . Overall ready for real use out there . For less than 40 bucks is what it is . It looks cool , I like it . Also it came perfect centered .Made in China . Just wanted to see this knife with G10 , S30V , ball bearings pivot , solid pocket clip (not wire one) , and USA Made ....of course different price . Maybe one day . Thank you .

Cons: Handle Feel, Handle Material

Meh…

The blade itself is pretty nice. The grind is well done and it’s razor sharp. However, there is no stop pin on this folder. This allows for unacceptable front to back blade play. There is also side to side blade play that is hard to get rid of, and still allow the knife to open. The handle is smooth. Too smooth. The most annoying thing to me was, they decided to laser etch China on the spine of the blade. I ground that off immediately. I’d rather Ka-Bar charge a little more and make a knife more worthy of the Becker name.
