An axe with an inline handle

This knife is all business.You could build a log cabin in the middle of the wilderness and never use a saw if you have the BK82 at your side!

Hot Dang!

This bad mama jamma doesn't cut, it explodes its way through whatever's in its path. The sheath is great, after switching out the nylon loop for a belt clip. Definitely a contender for top survival knife - at least as far as my collection goes.

Amazing knife

Bushwhacking and hiking. This knife replaces a knife I lost. Perfect for bushwhacking and hiking. It is built to work. Create kindling and split wood. Handles are only complaint so I bought different ones. This is not a light weight knife and is not designed to be. If you want a light weight knife for minor tasks you won’t be happy. I am elated and know this will last me a long long long time.

Let’s chop down a giant sequoia

Are you kidding me, this knife is an ax with an in-line handle! I am a hunter and all my knives have a hunting application. This is my first survival knife. I am so impressed with this enormous chunk of magna cut steel with a handle .As thick as the spine of this blade is the edge is incredibly sharp. I think I could build a log cabin in the wilderness and never use a saw as long as I have this knife. I can highly recommend this knife to anyone who fancies a good knife.

This thing is nuts! Spend the extra money for this giant hunk of Magnacut. It's worth it! This is an apocalypse knife for sure. You'll never need another knife. It weighs as much as my carry gun.

Great Knife but Sheath could be better

The knife is very sharp and strong. The sheath is a somewhat of a disappointment though. I find if you do not insert it exactly right, the knife will seat properly. Other than that, the knife is great and I'm glad it is in Magnacut steel.

"Put me to work!"

This is a true workhorse of a knife. It will outlive you. It's not light, but was never intended such. I purchased this knife because I wanted strength, corrosion resistance, and it needed to be able to perform most outdoor tasks. I also wanted it to be sized so it could easily go into a backpack. In my opinion, Becker should have these fitted with their micarta handle upgrades standard from the factory. This knife begs this upgrade in order to make it even easier to wield. The included sheath works, but an upgraded Kydex sheath also greatly improves this package. It's for these two reasons only that I could not give this 5 stars. This is my SHTF knife now and I couldn't be happier. Finally, let me add that you will need a skinning/kitchen knife to perform very fine tasks, but one can build a log cabin with this!

Disappointment

Surprisingly poor quality workmanship for the price. Asymmetrically ground blade. Ugly, rough sharpening. Factory edge band chipped in the middle. Outrageous and disappointing product! A Chinese, cheap, dozen products are made with better manufacturing quality! The manufacturer of the plastic case is not even capable of hitting the patent in the middle of the fastening strap. I will never buy a KA-BAR knife again, or anything else from the USA.
