A work of art

I have a small collection of about 50 knives, the Karbon/Ken Onion Buckhorn is, if not my favorite of the collection it's at least in the top 3. Obviously all the materials used in the manufacturing of this knife are quality materials but it has so much more going for it. As a retired machinist/Tool & Die maker I can tell you the machining is impeccable, I can just sit and stare at these machined scales, they're amazing. The action of this knife is so smooth, I absolutely love it, definitely one of my best purchases. If you're considering adding this knife to your collection, buy it, you won't regret it.

Pictures don't do this knife justice

I bought this knife because it is a Ken Onion and because it won at Blade Show. I wasn't to convinced I would like it based on the pictures, and I am not the biggest fan of S35, but in hand... The knife is AWESOME. The blade shape, which is what gave me the most pause is executed so well with a phenomenal finish, great geometry, and the knife is almost imposing in a subtle and elegant way. The handles are a thing of beauty. The jeweling and the curves and contouring combine into a great looking, great feeling place to hold on to. Both marry up together beautifully. The action is smooth but almost intentional in the opening. Not as explosive as many, but fluid and precise. Best way to describe it is that the blade does not bang into the locked position as it slams into the stop pin and the frame locks into place. With the Buck Horn, the blade glides into the open and locked position. Overall, this knife is spectacular. I am a user, and collector, not just a safe queen kind of guy, but this and my limited edition Viper Turn may be my closest thing to safe queens I have, even trumping some one off customs. I may buy a second one simply to have a user and a queen.

Love this knife. Fit and feel and material are a 10.

Handle is thin in all the right places. Feels just as good as it looks. Super smooth opening and closing. Shaving sharp. Love buying from knife center. Own dozens of blades and this is ranked just below my Rocksteady. Only mild flaw is very tight clip that rides great in thin fabric shorts and pants but too thin for jeans or bulky pants. Easily give it 5 stars still.

Close to perfect.

I love the look, the feel, the fit in my hand. the materials are outstanding and the fit and finish is amazing. I have two small issue, which may improve with use, and that is the flipper tab is too small making opening the knife more difficult than it needs to be. Same for the lock bar, a tad larger would make closing the knife easier. I am more of a collector so I won't be using this knife for EDC use. All and all I am very pleased with the knife and would buy it again.

Great for price

Great unique knife. The craftsmanship and materials are impressive. I welcome my first Karbon knife. There are better knives available at a much higher price point.
