Excellent useful knife!

I bought this knife for duty carry as it is small enough to go be inconspicuous, but solid enough to be perform cutting duties with confidence. To be honest, the fact that Jason Knight designed this knife gave me confidence that the Element would be a good knife. I appreciate the jimping on the spine of the knife and the knife is nicely finished. The knife came to me shaving sharp, and although I haven't done any hard use with it yet, I predict that it will keep it's edge and resharpen easily. The ring helps with retention of the knife and allows for quick retrieval from the sheath. Speaking of the sheath, I like the design as it allows for a few options for mounting (at least for me). I bought this knife mostly for utility use, but if need be, it would be useful for defense if needed. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase!

Pros: Weight, Blade Material, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: Overall Quality, Finish, Blade Sharpness

Hoped for more

I bought this for an EDC in hopes that the quality would warrant the price. The design is exactly what i was looking for, but the fit and finish is not so hot. There are machining marks under the finish on one side like they skipped a sandpaper grit in the polishing stages. The edge is also pretty dull out of the box. The angle of the grind is also pretty aggressive, so it's not much of a slicer. While the design is nice, i think for almost 200 dollars, there's a little more to be desired than just a maker's name.
