A bit too small for my medium sized female hand

I love the Kizer clutch lock and micarta scales and was attracted to this knife because its made by Kizer for Knafs. The Kizer Drop Bear is one of my favorite knives in my collection because it performs effortlessly, its great action when opening and closing the blade, and because it fits perfectly in my medium sized female hand.. I also adore the Civivi Baby Banter (I own 5 of those) and my We Banter, both of which are designed by Ben Peterson. While the Baby Banter fills out my hand fully and is easy to open and close despite its diminutive size, this Lander 3 with the clutch lock seem cramped in my hand. The clutch lock on this knife doesn't open and close as smoothly as my Kizer Drop Bears (I own 3 of them) nor with my larger Knafs Lander 2, which has a 3.25" blade length and longer handle than this 2.75" blade. This knife reminds me of the Vosteed Raccoon Cub, which is trying to be a less expensive imitation of Civivi Baby Banter but doesn't function or feel even half as well as my Baby Banters. For the price point of this knife, I expected better and am contemplating returning it.

Compact, a few idiosyncrasies

Just received this Knafs Lander 3 with Clutch lock and promptly switched the pocket clip for southpaw-friendly left-side carry. — To my surprise, I discovered that the cover plate on the opposite handle scale ("to keep it classy", as DCA often says) is not symmetrical, but rather has slight angle at the pommel-edge. While it fits flush with the profile of the knife for right-side carry, when switched for left-side carry, the cover plate slopes inward noticeably and exposes a wedge of grooved handle scale that's nearly a millimeter wide at the broad end. It's almost as if the cover plate was attached for right-side carry while the handle scales and lines were being ground and finished. — Mildly disappointing considering the price point of the knife, and that it's the third production model, so Knafs have had ample opportunity for feedback from left-handers. Especially when the rest of the knife is so obviously left-right symmetrical and ambidextrous (even down to the pivot screws and the slight milling of the scales at the thumb-studs). — (One might say, can't I just flip the cover plate over so that the angle sits flush? I could, but then the screws that attach it would not sit flush, as the holes are only chamfered on the one side (I checked). So, not an option). — The blade seems to be ever-so-slightly off-center when closed as well, though I haven't fiddled with the pivot screws to try and rectify that. —Everything else seems to be great fit-and-finish-wise, and the blade came shave-sharp. — Other reviewers have noted the small size of the knife. Thanks to their diligence, I expected that, and I find the 3.5-finger grip to be comfortable with my somewhat-smaller-than-slightly-larger-than-average hands. The balance is every-so-slightly handle-heavy; the knife wants my index finger at the milled indentations that sit next to the thumb-studs when closed, while I want my index finger closer to the pivot. — The Clutch lock is a little bouncy, more on close than open, and took me a little getting used to, similar to a Kizer Drop Bear's Clutch lock. — I'd love to have given this 5 stars, but the glaring wedge at the clip cover plate makes that regrettably hard for me to do.
