Does the job
Daily carry truck driver. Cut zip ties ,2ply hoist straps, tie downs, remove splinters, v cut cigars, slice salami, strip wires...i put a 17 grind on it...frame flexes under heavier use but is not bad.not to bad ergo wise..edge retention is meh but i strop daily so slicey it is...opens fast and reliably l...easy to blow out with the air chuck.

I was looking for a knife that was lightweight, right around 3-inch blade, with assisted open. Being a knife newbie, I was a little nervous about having an assisted open knife in my pocket. I was very pleased with this Kershaw 1385. It fit all my criteria. As for the assisted open, it takes some practice to figure out the exact pressure needed to deploy the blade, but that makes it feel safer in my pocket. Overall, I love it.

This is a great little folding knife that has some great qualities including a very agreeable price. This is an inexpensive in price but not a cheap in quality knife. It is a lighter duty knife obviously but does it's job very well. I was attracted to it as a legal and affordable alternative to the Kershaw 7550 Launch 11 which is similar in size and appearance but with the small detail that it is an automatic that could pose some problems in regards to carrying it. The assisted opening on the Airlock is quick and smooth and it locks up well. The pocket clip is narrow but does the job well. It cuts very well and the blade has some jimping on the top which helps with gripping. Overall I like it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent to good EDC carry knife.
