Good, but needs updating.
Mine came very sharp, the grinds are well done and even. I prefer titanium and/or CF handles but beside the over aggressive skateboard tape like inserts, the solidity of the handle fees very nice. Assisted opening knives are not my preference but this one opems with authority. The high flat-saber grind is good for slicing while the somewhat subtle recurve provides all that shapes benefits with at least some ability to touch up or shapen the edge less than impossible. The thumb studs are not my preferred opener style but the shape on these is a treat for that category and has aggressive jimping to reduce slipping. I like the knife even though I purchased it mainly for a project and the blade steel, I'm impressed w/ the feel, minus skateboard tape, and I'm enjoying using and opening the blade. As for updates, I don't see much point to assisted opening knives now that flippers provide as good, if not better, opening. A front flipper could easily be added amd ignored by those who like them less than studs. I'm liking the knife, as is, significantly more than I predicted. Note: one idea for overly aggressive textures is to subtlety add a clear glue / apoxy to the areas causing the most issue, like under the pocket clip, filling the cavities to your desired amount or overfilling them then using sandpaper.
