I really like this knife

I have always been a big fan of Kershaw's Ken Onion knives and my favorite pocket knife is the Scallion. I wanted a slightly larger blade of gardening and tried the CRTK Schennagin (also a Ken Onion design). Unfortunately that thing consistently ALMOST locks (you can even hear it hit the sprang) when deployed with the speed safe which makes it unsafe. I just ordered the Dividend (I know it is not a Ken Onion design...but it could be). The blade is just the right length for my use, it deploys flawlessly and is actually even thinner than the smaller Scallion. Fit and finish are great and it feels really good in the hand.

Kershaw Dividend

Really good knife for the price. I have used it for just about everything from construction work, opening and cutting down boxes, automotive work, and food prep. This knife handled it all. The blade tip is a little more delicate than I'm used too. It hasn't broken yet but I have to remind myself not to start prying with it. On the plus side, the blade and tip will take a scalpel like edge and can handle detail work very well. For this price point the blade holds an edge very well. Overall construction is very good. Blade centering is spot on. Blade engages with authority and lockup is strong. The knife is light for its size and the handles are comfortable. The very thin profile and deep pocket clip make the knife disappear in the pocket. I don't have anything against knives made in other countries but I do like when I can buy a knife made in America. Good job Kershaw!
