GREAT knife!

This is an EDC (Every-Day Carry) for me. When Kershaw produced the Ken Onion Chive, Leek, and Scallion in a rainbow finish, I anxiously awaited a rainbow Shallot, but, alas, Kershaw did not do a rainbow Shallot. The Damascus-steel Shallot is much better, much prettier, and much more useful! The patterning of the steel is beautiful, and I bought KC's last black handled one, too. Damascus steel is not so dependent on sharpening, as the change in the layers of steels as the edge erodes creates a serrated edge. A wonderful blade, with easy, speedy deployment with the tab, and the frame-lock is solid & dependable. WELL WORTH the price! MUCH BETTER than a rainbow finish!

great knife

Well this knife is just beautiful for edc. I have always enjoyed kershaw and this one is bigger than the leek and not as "delicate" as some of my other knives. I used the back of the blade to turn a screw, for example. It's a bit heavy but that weight feels good in my hand. My only criticism is the stiffness of the spring. Perhaps this will ease up with time. The blade came super sharp as well.

Quality for a good price!

For the price there is nothing like it. I have been using a Leek that I purchased in 2010 as an EDC and have yet to have to sharpen it. Not only is the blade still holding an edge it is just as beautiful as the day I bought it. The slim profile, blade and handle thickness, allows me to carry this knife at work in my slacks and on the weekend in my jeans. Big win for me. Overall, the best purchase I have made in quite a while and the reason I ordered 4 more for gifts. Thank you Kershaw for making the knife and thank you Knife Center for making this knife available at the price you do.
