Not expecting a lot, but was very happy with this knife, it is wonderful. Fits in 5th pocket and is sharp and really fun to use. Th build and finish is great. This is worth buying for everyday uses. DCA and Seth know how to demonstrate so there are no surprises. Well worth the sale price.

Esteem is a well built, double-detent knife that has become my back-up EDC (fits perfectly in my watch pocket). Mostly using it as a glorified box-cutter. Great modern take on the traditional slip-joint. Blade has a good bit of belly which makes it good for a variety of daily tasks. It also has a half stop for safety, effectively making this a "triple-detent" knife. No Side-to-side blade play. It came shaving sharp out of the box. The 8Cr13MoV blade steel won't hold an edge for days but is easy to keep sharpened. Great knife for those seeking something in the sub 3" blade range, office/work option and/or people with smaller hands. At the current price it is a steal!

Handy little blade!
The double detent style gives this knife great walk and talk. The construction is solid with the stainless steel liners and scales and a touch of G10. It may seem small, but it has heft and the open/close feels solid. I find myself using this more and more! The blade shape is wonderful - like the CJRB Ria, but shorter and fatter. It is fun to fidget with, but opening with one hand takes some practice. If Kershaw put a hole or slot in the blade where the nail nick is, then you could more easily use your thumb to open it one-handed. That would give this knife 5 stars. A great feature of this knife is the slim shape. The shape is so thin that you can slide this into your pants pocket or shirt pocket and few would even notice. However, the slimness also makes the knife difficult to remove because there is so little to hold! Also, the clip pokes out at the end. If Kershaw bowed out the pocket clip a bit more at the top and made the clip flat at the end, then it would function much better! The knife is great for cutting and moving your hand around plastic packaging. The blade material is nothing special, but still cuts very well. It is small and nimble with a great fidget factor. Also, slim and well-constructed. I am happy with my purchase!
