Buy this Knife
BUY THIS KNIFE! This knife is an interpretation of the Benchmade 940 and Griptilliam series and the Doug Ritter RSK mk 2. In fact it's handle and blade is shaped just like the Ritter with flat handles. The flat handles make it ride better in suit pants which I wear most days. D2 steel is tough and won't rust if you keep a film of oil on it. D2 cuts like a razor and on this knife, the wash-look blade matches the rest. I've used this thing for two weeks cutting boxes and opening letters and general tasks. It holds an edge like the super steels do. The lock is the one Benchmade puts on its $200 knives. The thing is my new best friend. I review very few items but this knife is the one you'll use. Every day.

Value knife
Heist is good value for the money. Came sharp and was very sharp after a few minutes on a strop. Size is near perfect for me. I often find a mini grip too short and the full size is too big for me. I find it slices better than my mini grip. QC could be better. Blade is off center, doesn’t affect function so does not bother me. It would not flick open when new. After two hours of opening and closing it, it flicks nicely. The flat grind on one side is higher on one side than the other. You will not get Benchmade quality at 1/3 the price but a knife that performs as well without the refinement of a benchmade.

It’s a good general propose knife. I use it for opening boxes, cutting stretch wrap, opening plastic packages and pulling staples. I like the grippy handle. The crossbar lock is easy to use. After I broke it in, due to the washer pivot, it snaps out fine using my thumb. The guys at knife center did a good job reviewing the knife so there were no surprises.
