This is a very good looking knife, it looks like something off of Star Wars. The colors, the shape is non-conventional and it would look good in the hand of Han Solo, or Luke Skywalker. It locks up tight. It feels good in your hands and carries easy in your pocket. A very good EDC, that looks cool also.

Nicely done knife.
For my personal kit, the shape, weight, and materials used to make this made it the perfect addition. The steel isn't the latest "oh-ah" out on the market. Because of this, the knife has been easy to sharpen in the field. The reverse tanto works well with wood working and camp needs. The price is around what I would expect from Kershaw.

I love the look, the design, and the two-tone colour. The blade shape is awesome! I have lg hands and the complaints about grip elude me. Part of my collection is small folders, old Case brands, Buck, Browning, Fisherman. etc . From 2.5 to 6" handles. 2'' to 4.5 " blades. if you have used them for EDC you would find the decibel to be beautifully designed. Its not a bearing assisted. Renewal of the slip joint with a twist

Blade coating poor.
A little stiff to open at first, but otherwise great construction. However, the coating on the blade didn't even survive the first cut through thin cardboard (FedEx envelope). I keep my pocket knives fairly clean, and this is a blemish I will see everytime I use the knife now. It does not inspire hope for the handle coating to hold up over time.

40 decibel hearing loss
This might be my least favorite Kershaw. The Ugly is the opening. I find it very difficult. Kershaw can make a non-Speed Safe knife that opens easily. The Leek is one. The Fatback is another. I really like the blade shape. The handle feels a bit small. F&F, blade centering, blade sharpness are all good. But the handle does not convey the slickness that the Leek does. If I did pay almost $40 for this, I am not happy. The Leek, the RAT-1 the Cutjack are all about the same price and are much better knives. All of them have better steel and open much easier. I'm sitting here playing with the knife. If I pinch the tip of the blade, the handle deploys effortlessly. I still would much rather have the handle in my hand than the blade following opening.

Pretty to look at, that’s about it
I am a very loyal Kershaw customer. Have been for years. Some of their blades perform better than those priced in much higher brackets. This is not one of them. The blade is incredibly dull and the edge is wonky. It is impossible to get it out of my pocket, difficult to open, and I have to readjust my grip after opening it. But it doesn’t matter, the blade is useless. Closing it is also a pain and slightly dangerous; you might get cut by a dull blade. It’s only plus is that it LOOKS expensive, but I prefer function over fashion.

Just too small.
This is pretty neat looking folding knife from Kershaw. Like the previous two reviewers stated that is where the fun stops with this knife. I have medium to large size hands and I have a hard time operating this knife as the handle is just too narrow to comfortably hold and operate. I looked at this knife in a store and worked the mechanism several times and it just did not work for me. It looks neat but is just too small to use. It is so small that operating it was difficult-there isn't much to grab or hold onto when opening the blade. I did not buy it and am looking at other Kershaws instead.
