I took this knife (Kershaw 3700 Kurai Folding 2 1/2" Black Plain Blade) on a Canadian fishing trip in August 2014 and it was perfect. Fit nicely into small compartments of tackle box, extremely sharp for cutting braided line (which scissors could not cut) and was easy to handle with one hand. Clips comfortably into pocket as well. Even though the handle is less than the width of my hand, it was still comfortable to hold. I love this knife. It's a "must buy".
Great little folder- nice to just carry around. I love the scale texture and the uniqueness of the knife. It opens and closes very crisply and is a little hard to get open quickly if you are not use to a stud on the blade.
great, reasonably priced knife. Especially good if you live in a rainy area like me, thanks to the corrosion resistant finish. Looks really nice, and pretty easy to open and disengage the lock. This makes a great gift, as I got it for a gift and really handy for day to day use. Knife feels the right balance and weight for its size too.
The Kurai is a small gentleman's folder and I found it ideal for someone that wants a smaller pocket knife as an EDC. It opens manually and the action is very smooth. The blade was very sharp right out of the box, no surprise with Kershaw though. The liner lock doesn't add much weight to the knife at all and locks the blade up tight, releasing is no problem at all. Handle feels good in the hand but like I said, it is small. Too small for me to use as an EDC but perfect for a back up blade.
I like the appearance, design and lines of this knife. Nice blade grind. Only thing I would change is the thickness of the entire knife. Like the aesthetic of the thinner knives.
I purchased 3 Kershaw 2/ 1/2" Kurai as gifts for my 2 sons and my wife, I thought if would make a nice EDC for each. The knives arrived on time and they turned out to be great additions to the family, carbon/aluminum handle, light weight and pocket size. Now I need to purchase one for myself, called knife envy.
I have to say, I am basically happy with the purchase of this knife. I use it everyday, for opening packages or anything else I can't open, when my hands get too weak. I love how the pocket clip clings tightly, and doesn't allow any movement or shifting, while in my back pocket. I DO NOT like how easily this knife opens. When I clip my knife into my pocket, I have to hold it closed, because it opens up in the pocket. It sliced my finger open the first time. I also got stabbed in my a** cheek, when sitting down, after the knife opened in my pocket (I was not happy). Even though I was highly annoyed, by being stabbed by my own knife, I am still happy with this knife.
This is a strong blade that lasts it's light weight you can use it for pretty much anything you need it for n you do not need to worry if you drop it'll be fine if your looking for a small knife buy this one
