Excellent design and quality
I bought an Oblivion to be part of a carry "rotation" along with a couple other Kershaw knives, as well as ZT, SOG, etc. It has been a few years since I last bought a new Kershaw, as most of their recent designs didn't appeal to me, but the Oblivion checks off several boxes for me: cool aesthetics, useful blade shape/length, tip-up carry, deep-carry clip, flipper opening and - considering that it is a Chinese build with 8Cr13MoV steel - a reasonable price point. No complaints about the build quality, either. Blade deployment with "SpeedSafe" assisted opening is fast and smooth, and the frame lock works perfectly. The factory edge is fantastic right out of the box. The visuals are more angles and lines than curves, which may not appeal to some, and it's not the lightest knife of this size by any stretch, but my initial impression is that it will be a great EDC addition.

I'll make this short and sweet: for the money, the Oblivion is a truly fine folder. Is it the pinnacle of perfection? No, but I honestly can't find fault with it. It will have its detractors maybe because of its 8Cr13MoV blade steel, or some other niggling complaint, but its comfortable ergonomics and overall design and execution make it a really excellent EDC. I can't recommend the Oblivion highly enough. For anyone but a knife snob, this is one dang good knife. 'Nuff said.

I use this knife for EDC. I think Kershaw does the best job for quality control on their overseas made budget knives. Blade seems a lot more substantial than 3.5 inches. It even has jimping for your thumb on top of the blade. I've always liked Kershaws Speed safe spring assist. Has a decent frame lock that seems very secure. You'll have a hard time trying to find something as good as this for the price.
