Unbelievably good assisted flipper. Right out of the box it opened beautifully. The pocket clip works perfectly. You don't have to pry it open to clip it on and it releases perfectly. I usually wear gloves will working in the yard and have to take them off to get the knife out of my pocket and open it, but not with this one. It is the best knife I have had for use in he shop and yard.
Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Excellent EDC Beater
I’ve had this knife for nearly a year of occasional use. I have a variety of Kershaw knives and generally like their products. This one is a good choice for everyday use. Good blade shape and heavy liners. The handle has good grip and is comfortable to use, more so than the Grinder or Rove. Great buy at KC’s sale price and rating based on that price.
Kershaw produces what I consider a whole line of great knives at extremely reasonable prices. This is no less true of the 3930 Flitch. I purchased mine a few months ago and have experienced no problems. I use mine for medium duty: cutting boxes, cloth, small string/rope, and EDC. The 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel used in many of their knives is a medium grade stainless steel that is a perfect balance of edge retention and ease of sharpening. I particularly favor the flipper models, which are fast and responsive. I use to work at an outdoor sporting goods store where we sold Kershaw as well as other higher end brands. I use to compare models and always found Kershaw knives to be a heck of a deal compared to higher end knives. As I told customers, they are as strong and reliable as other more expensive knives but if you lose it you are not out $200. The fit and finish will not disappoint. For the money, you got nothing to lose.
