The Epicenter of Quality vs Price!
The Bel-Air had been on my radar for a while, and it always seemed like a good deal for a Magnacut blade and aluminum handles. Then I found out they made an XL model! While on paper, a 3.4" blade might start to seem on the big side for a folder intended for urban EDC, I assure you it's not! Even with the slightly larger blade, it folds up incredibly sleek and slim, and with the G10 handle scales its perhaps one of the lightest knives in my collection. While the standard Bel-Air is still a great knife, I'd highly recommend upgrading to the XL for a few dollars more. Although it only has the one option for now in Black G10, the extra bit of blade you get along with more grip surface with the handle is worth the money. And even then, its still cheaper than most other US Made magnacut knives out there. Honestly the only marginally neutral things I can say about it is that personally the crossbar is not my favorite type of lock to manipulate, but maybe I'm just spoiled by the Shark lock and Snex Superlock that feel more natural to actuate on the spine. Also, the G10 was a bit on the course side when I first opened it, but that smoothed out after a week or two of minimal use running my fingers over it which smoothed things out. Overall if you're looking for a cost effective delve into magnacut, this is your knife!

Killer EDC
This has to be my favorite edc’s that has come out recently. Kershaw has heard what the customers wanted and not only delivered but knocked it out the park. I can’t recommend this amazing American made banger enough.

Kershaw Bel Air XL. Magnacut worth waiting for
On paper this was going to get top spot in my folder EDC small group. It bumped a PM3 and a heavily modified Bugout to #s 2&3. The action is buttery and the lock secure. The scales are not really modable but don’t need to be because they are very comfortable. The XL was worth waiting for since it gives the extra handle length. The blade is a perfect geometry for everyday use. It is not a cheap knife but I’ve had a Kershaw in my pocket for 75% of days. Now it’s 100%. Fantastic tool and worth every penny

XL is a sweet spot
Only thing that could improve this knife from my perspective, aluminum scales like I have with the regular Bel Air. G10 is great, but aluminum handle would be AWESOME.

New EDC!
Love this knife. Showed up exactly how I expected it. I had the smaller version and like it so when I saw this one I had to get it. It came sharp and smooth! Good knife and no issues. I used to carry a kershaw blur and wanted another tough knife. Super good slicer. The scales are super grippy and look good. All and all I love the knife. Pretty light weight as well.

Kershaw Belair XL Knife
This is the perfect EDC knife. I can’t think of anything they could do to improve it. Workmanship & materials are first rate. I have quite a few knives & this is quickly becoming my favorite . Hoping for a carbon fiber version.

Kershaw Bel Air XL
The size is a much better fit than the original Bel Air. I really like the grippiness of the G10 handles. The blade material Magnacut is a major reason I got this knife. The main reason I got this knife is because it is made here in the US. I wanted to support our workers here. This knife is nice and slim making it a great EDC.

Simple, Efficient, and Sleek
This knife checks all the major boxes. Made in the USA, MagnaCut steel, reputable brand and built for ease of use. My only concern is the tip might be a little delicate, it thins out quite a bit at the end of the blade. Which shouldn’t be a problem as long as used in the proper roles and context.

It's Okay
With the larger blade it gives me Iridium vibes. I don't don't like it as much as the original. With the larger blad it does not close as nicely. Unless you really want magnacut get an Iridium for cheaper. Or go ahead and get another original in a different color, you will be a lot happier.

Nice blade, handle not so much
I really wanted to like this knife more than I do. I got it for EDC. The blade shape and thickness make it nice and slicey. The crossbar lock seems quite sturdy and secure, with a good lock up. Not really a fan of the thumbstud, but it's not that big a deal. Nice for light duty such as food prep and other misc small tasks. However I found the G10 rough and unpleasant to the touch. The shape of the handle is so thin it doesn't feel comfortable in the hand when doing more intensive tasks. With these minuses it went pretty quickly into the spares box. Which is a pity as it looks great. As a counter, I have a couple Spyderco Manix with G10 that are much nicer in the hand (for me!)

Nice but poor quality control
Nice Kershaw blade, bigger size is nice, but one side of the blade was sharpened and the other side was not, fairly disappointing for a quality company like Kershaw. I was able to get a edge on the other side with my Lansky sharpener.
