I've owned this knife for a couple months. I haven't had the chance to use the belt cutter or the glass breaker, but the blade is great. It sharpens up easily and holds an edge well. I love the one handed opening. The handle is textured and provides good grip even when wet. It is made in china, but I don't know how else you can get a kershaw for less than $30.

Excellent Knife
This is my first Kershaw, I bought a barricade and oso sweet at the same time. The build quality of this knife seems very good and it fits well in the hand. The only addition I would make would be additional grip for your thumb, although that may interfere with the speedsafe deployment. The pocket clip on the oso sweet sticks out, where as the barricade is slim, yet easily grips the edge of your pocket. I work on cargo ships and this knife has stood up well in the few weeks I've had it. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a more "rescue knife" capable every day carry.

The Barricade by Kershaw is now my favourite EDC knife! Love the colour, SpeedSafe, clip, safety features. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that might be in a rescue situation or works in the EMS field!

May not be strong enough for first responders, but is a good EDC knife for the average city dweller. Good car console carrier/emergency escape tool. Wish it had more positions for pocket clip. Various color options would be great. 8cr13Mov blade steel is really good, very sharp. I'm always picking it up as my daily rotation for minor cutting tasks.

Great knife unfortunately the seat belt cutter is poor
Love the action on the knife great EDC "every day carry". My only issue is with the . As the knife is always in my pocket I have tried using the cutter to open an envelope and cut packing tape. It isn't up to those tasks so I'm not sure if i can trust seat belt cutter to get me out of an emergency situation.

FF/EMT of 17yrs . As soon as the Barricade came in I noticed the blade wasn't centered in the closed position and pointing to the right really bad when opened and looking down on the spine. Pivot pin screw was loose and the scale at the top near the pivot pin was loose. As I tightened the pivot pin the blade centered up better and the scale was tight but now it's not a flipper and barely opens . As it loosened itself up during use it became easier to flip open but now the original problems are back and I think the pivot screw is stripped . Don't recommend it

Do not trust your life (or others) to this knife
30+ years in public safety. I carried the same Spyderco Police model for 25 of them. Never had any issues. When I saw this Kershaw, I thought the bright orange handle and ergonomics were worthy of a try. Second day at work with this thing and needed to cut deployed airbags to remove an entrapped occupant. Blade dulled very quickly and then cracked at the half way point on the sharpened edge. Knife now has a huge triangular chunk missing from the blade. This knife may work for some, but it is definitely NOT a tool that can be relied upon when it really matters.
