Beautiful weld/hamon, extremely (razor) sharp, good vg10 steel, comfortable, easy to clean handle, not as delicate as it looked in the picture. All in all, worth the money.

Shun on a Budget
I've not had this knife long enough for an extensive review, so I can't speak to the durability, sharpenability, or construction. I have no doubt of those qualities, but only time will tell. As for sharpness, this is my first foray into the low-end of the high end knifes. I'm happy that I don't have to sharpen this knife as I have had to do with my German ones. I did a back of the hand test and was left as smooth as a Gillette disposable. Fruits and smaller vegetables are a pleasure to cut, literally bringing a smile to my face as the blade falls through the food. Since this is only a 3.5" knife, larger fruits and vegetables are off the plate, so to speak. Knowing this going in, coupled with the sale price made this purchase a no-brainer.

Good quality knife for the money. Super sharp and love the way kershaw brazed the different layers of steel on this knife.
