Pros: Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality

a simple, elegant tool

Mine came in perfect condition (with only a bit of sawdust) and very sharp. It has that refined Japanese sensibility. The tang is fairly narrow, so it might not be the best for heavy use. Scabbard doesn't fit tightly, so you wouldn't want to pocket carry it, but a nice item to have on your workbench.

Great little Japanese knife

I've been collecting Samurai swords and other knives for 45 years. This is a nice little knife for $11. Sharp blade and well made. I would like to see the scabbard match the handle, but overall a lovely little traditional Japanese carver. .

Great quality, very very sharp.

Great little shop knife/carving knife. I am going to give it to my son, who is very much into Japanese cutlery. I don't have words to describe the level of sharpness.

Nice Utility Blade

Quality blade and handle. The sheath doesn't have as snug a fit as I had hoped for. The kiridashi blade is unique and will come in handy for the sort of tasks that a utility knife might be used for.
