Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material

Holds an edge as good as S45VN but tougher.

I cut a lot of packaging for my neighbors who are disabled as I live in a a seniors apartment. I find the beer/soda carton poster board packaging tougher on knives than cardboard and this zips through it without dulling the blade. I used 14C28N and VG10 on that stuff and they go dull pretty fast, but not this, it's even as good as my 20CV, but right at 3mm even, it's thinner making that tough poster board easier to cut. Can't use a hollow grind as it bunches up at top of grind especially on double thick cardboard I sometimes get. I just have to remember to keep it oiled as it's only 5% chromium, but my pivot lube does a good job of that. I strop it every once in a while, but since my strop is mahogany with 25,000 grit diamond compound worked into it I haven't had to sharpen it since I put my 15 degree per side edge on it. I've cut at least 50 yards of cardboard and heavy card stock and going strong since I received it 3 months ago. I'm glad it doesn't have that big dumb finger choil Kizer tends to put on their cleaver blades where it catches the material. I never use a finger choil anyway as I don't hold my finger right up against the sharp edge. That's just asking to cut yourself. It's a bit hard to push the liner lock over, but I mostly use my thumbnail or turn the knife and push the lock with my index finger while pushing it against something like I do with my Kershaw Link as it's hard to unlock with my thumb, but this knife isn't as hard to push as that one.

Just get one.

My wife bought be my first sheepdog (the huge one) because we have sheepdogs, thought it was an odd looking knife. Turns out to be a great design with many great uses. I had to get this one after using its gigantic brother, boy howdy am I glad I did. Action is so friggen amazing, drop shut goodness. The steel is awesome for a steel nerd like me, love this blade shape for all my cutting tasks, nice tip, lots of belly, does amazingly well with my KME sharpener. On top of all that is the totally rad handle material! Very beautiful micarta, totally rad pocket clip, looks so good with my denim TRM neutron. Great grip for the rainy PNW. It looks awesome, feels awesome, and functions awesomely. One of my favorites. Great for cutting back brambles while I pick nettles, breaking down mountains of cardboard, and cutting salumi. Also fun to fidget with. Get it.

The little box Destroyah!!!

Fit and finish is excellent, the micarta is a well-balanced mixture of grip and class. Not too rough, not too smooth. The 4V takes very keen edge and has held up over several recent box "takedown" sessions. doesn't even need stropping. This is a good knife. I coffee-washed my blade to match the Ti clip and help fight corrosion. This one is staying in my collection.

Great little EDC

Lightweight, compact, with a tall blade and a tip that makes quick work of all that packaging that has been opened over the last months

Awesome Small Knife

Feels very high quality, my only complaint is I wish it was a back lock instead of a liner lock.
