Kizer Drop Bear

I initially bought a Drop Bear with clear acrylic scales for the novelty of it, and immediately fell in love with the knife. Deployment is buttery smooth and lock-up is rock solid. The Kizer clutch lock is the most fidget-friendly and dependable of its type that I have ever encountered. Meticulous design and construction. Zero wiggle & awesome ergonomics. This KnifeCenter exclusive with S90V and burlap micarta is exquisite. I am going to definitely grow a collection of this knife!

A better bear

Absolutely amazing. Had the all black aluminum drop bear and couldn’t resist another. Great steel for a great price. I threw my own edge on there immediately and is a razor now. Some people seem shocked by the scales, but they were addressed in the description of the knife as “polished” so exactly what i expected and did not disappoint.

Don't drop this bear!

I haven't tested the steel itself out yet, but its S90V, so not many questions left unanswered there. It is smoother than the other micarta handled knives I have, but not too slippery. I am guessing it will collect some hand juice over time and maybe have less of a chance to RUNNOFT in hand. Regardless, the action is absolutely fantastic. I know we can change the tension, but there's no point. The handle is cozy in a gorilla grip and it is just the right size/ weight for my slightly medium sized hands. This isn't my first Kizer and while I prefer USA made, it will not be my last.

Best Bear in my pocket!

This version of the Kizer Drop Bear is incredible. Super Premium Blade Steel. Premium and unique Micarta handle. The handle feels like money and it looks beautiful. Rock solid build. This Exclusive and their exclusive Blue Aluminum version is just about the best versions currently out. I own them all. Get it and you will be very pleased. They will be gone soon. Great job Knife Center on another incredible Exclusive.

Great knife design - awful scale material

I bought this version of the Drop Bear for the S90v, and the knife design and blade are great. Super action and very useful blade shape. I did not think that this "burlap micarta" handle material would be the way it is. Usually, burlap micarta is textured/grippy, but whatever they did to this is almost like it is lacquered. The material is like a smooth hard plastic feel, not like a micarta. Very disappointed with this scale material. It is slick and fake feeling. Other than that, the knife is great. Hopefully I can get some aftermarket scales to swap out, because I really like the design despite the scales.

Great Knife with a few minor flaws

Great blade steel and SUPER sharp out of the box. Action was clean without any adjustment or breaking in. Packaging was was really cool and definitely makes for a great experience if gifting. I would say, the handle is the only downside to this knife. The Polished Burlap Micarta is darker than in the photos and feels a little too "plasticky" for a "premium" knife. Adjustable spring and skeleton frame are a great concept but end up making the handle a little too thick. The pocket clip only has 2 in-line screws which limits the stability of the clip. Right out of the box, mine wiggles left and right. Even after tightening.

Scales not what I expected

I love the Drop Bear I have and was looking forward to the burlap scales on this one. The scales are not a raw burlap micarta that I expected so if that is what you are looking for look elsewhere. Somewhat disappointing.
