I bought this after seeing a review on Nut-N-Fancy and am very satisfied with it. It replaces my SOG automatic knife that, looks cool and would be good in a self-defense situation, but is worthless in everyday tasks that come along. I am in a maintenence department and this knife is just what I needed. Well made with a good blade design which opens as easy as can be.
Wasn't real sure at first about how lite the handle was, but the more I handled the knife the more I loved it. It's a really nice looking knife and it's a perfect addition to my collection, I wear it to town or church.
The Vanguard Dukes knife by Kizer came with a sharp blade, comfortable and easy to grip handle with finger grooves, just right flipper, smooth quick deployment of blade, good lock-up via liner and easy release, all at under 3 ounces. The black on red G-10 handle said "Mine" from the first moment I saw it. What is it saying to you?
Love the knife. It's slightly smaller than my Benchmade 940 Osborne, lightweight, tactile G-10 scales... I enjoy holding it. The knife steel is rust resistant VG-10, which can provide a razor sharp edge...easy to resharpen. The ONLY thing I would change is the pocket clip, which I would prefer a simple straight wire like Spyderco puts on their knives.
Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Overall Quality
Cons: Pocket Clip
Awesome
Awsome knife! So great in fact it has set the bar so high that all Other budget knives can't meet it. The red and black g10 handle look great aswel as the satin blade that came decently sharp out of box, could of been sharper and thats the only reason for 4 stars but it is the best flipping knife with great detent the blade flies out easily. The knife is very ergonomic in hand and edc friendly due to its light weight of 2.66 oz. Great design from Matt and definately recomend purchasing this knife.
