Perfect working man's knife

I am a service technician, and have to open taped up boxes for everything i do. My blades were always gummed up, constantly in need of cleaning. This knife has solved that issue. Love the easy open, and close, and the tweezers have come in handy multiple times. Great knife.

Impressive Design, Top-Notch Quality

I’m really impressed with the Kizer Uti Bear 2. The design is clean, compact, and super functional—exactly what I was looking for in an EDC knife. The clutch lock feels solid and smooth, and the replaceable razor blade is incredibly handy for precision cuts without needing to sharpen. The brown micarta handle not only looks great but feels comfortable and grippy in hand. The bonus features like the built-in toothpick and tweezers are a clever touch, and the reversible clip makes it easy to carry however you prefer. Overall, it looks amazing, feels premium, and performs even better. Kizer really nailed it with this one!

Unintended benefit?

I really enjoy carrying the Uti Bear 2. The replaceable razor blade is incredibly handy for daily tasks, and it’s office-friendly, it doesn’t scare the muggles I work with. The knife itself is well-designed and feels great in hand. Changing the blade takes a bit of practice at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s tool-free and easy to do. The jimping and finger choil are thoughtfully placed, giving you excellent control and leverage for tougher jobs like cutting drywall or carpet. The clutch lock is gold!, it is smooth, reliable, and very fidget-friendly. However, there’s one design quirk worth noting. The tip of the blade housing near the front of the knife is quite sharp, it is about 1/8" wide and it can catch on fabric. This can unintentionally turn it into an “Emerson-style” opener. For some, that’s a cool bonus feature; for others (like me), it’s a potential safety concern. With soft clothing or certain pocket liners, the knife can deploy unintentionally when drawn. I experimented with the Emerson-style draw and, I can get it to deployed reliably but I’m not a big fan of it since it tends to wear out pockets quickly. A few light passes with a file to smooth out that sharp edge helped reduce the unintended openings. Overall, it is a 5 stars knife for its utility and ability to go hard with it and slice thru materials effortlessly. But a 4 stars if you’re concerned about unintentional deployment.
