Leatherman wave + multi tool

Just recently purchased the Leatherman Wave + multi tool on September 14,2024 while on vacation in Tennessee last weekend I’ve always wanted this particular model of Leatherman for several years now. This isn’t my first Leatherman multi tool my very first one was the Leatherman kick that I bought new in 2005 and carried it everyday from 2005-2013 when I upgraded to the Leatherman wingman in January 2013 and carried it from 2013- September 2024 when I upgraded and bought the Leatherman wave + multi tool this is actually my third Leatherman multi tool since buying my very first one in 2005. I carry a Leatherman everyday and use it while camping constantly and when mowing never know when a Leatherman multi tool will be handy or need to be used. I would definitely recommend the Leatherman brand to anyone they might be a little on the expensive side depending upon what model you decide to purchase but they are backed by a 25 year warranty and their customer service representative are very helpful when asking questions about a particular model or how something works on a specific Leatherman model.

Leatherman Wave Plus

I purchased this mult-tool, Leatherman Wave Plus, for EDC. I have another one that I keep in my bug out bag. This is my favorite model of the Leatherman multi-tools. It has all of the tools that could be used in many settings for many tasks. It is sturdy, tough, robust and overall well made. This is a serious tool, with all features that lock open and easy to close. It is a great alternative for not having to haul out the old tool box for daily projects. The knife and serrated knife are very sharp and can be opened with one hand. Excellent tool with many uses. In the past I have bought cheaper mult-tools but all of them eventually fell apart before long. It is a waste of money buying those low cost tools IMO. For all the cheap tools I have gotten, I would have invested in the Wave. The joke that I make about the Leatherman Wave Plus is this: "It is reassuring that Leatherman gives a 25 year warranty on it, I'll be covered until I'm 85 years old!" Haha!

Another excellent tool from Leatherman.

This is my third wave and Leatherman, once again, did not disappoint. Excellent tool. Excellent ergonomics. The new wire cutters are a welcome addition. I cut a lot of zip ties and the cuts are much cleaner than the old style pliers. The new sheath is excellent as well. The only con is that the opening hole of the blades are a bit sharp. To Leatherman's credit it looks like they roughly filed down the opening of the sheepsfoot blade but would love to see a more ergonomic way to avoid these edges. This is my EDC and my partner for whatever life throws at me. Great job Leatherman! (Side note, I would love to see a Wave sized Leatherman Surge with a molle sheath with two snaps instead of velcro)

This is a great tool!

I bought this tool about a year ago and I also had purchased the ORIGINAL leatherman wave, when I realized that no one was selling the original anymore (not even Leatherman). Anyway I know you don’t want my life story so I’ll wrap it up: the wave is a great multitool and there is no task too tough for it and I really like both of the Leatherman waves.

Gold Standard

There's nothing this tool can't do. From basic cutting and sawing to eye glasses repair, opening packages or cutting zip ties, the Wave+ is excellent. Great materials, good heft to it, and easy access to all the tools. The serrated knife is especially good for cutting carpet and rope. I use it every time I'm in the warehouse and it's invaluable around the house.
