Extension itself is good, but the retaining spring is too stiff
Extension is good quality. Nice and slim, works as an extension should... However, the bit retaining spring locks into the bits so hard, I can't remove them without placing the bit into a vice and swatting the extension with a punch in order to get the spring to release. Bits that do not have the little locking grooves in them halfway up the shank, will come out a little easier (Which tend to be pretty rare bits or really cheap). I'll have to pop the spring out with a pick and soften it up or put a rubber O-ring into the groove. I've been needing one of these for my Skeletool I've carried for 12 years and kept putting it off after trying to deal with Leatherman directly. Due to my remote living and working location that did not have cellular service in either location. They kept canceling my order on me stating that I did not have an active phone number when they tried to contact it, so they couldn't complete my order (I still have their emails). Was quite irritating considering I have/had been a customer of theirs for 24 years. Knife Center had no problem sending my any products! Thanks!
