Just got it a couple of days ago, but this seems destined to become my favorite edc. Even my wife, who could not care less about knives, said "that's a nice knife!" as soon as she saw it. Fit, finish, sharpness, lock-up, ease of use -- it's all there. It's also easy to open and close right out of the box with no break-in, or at least mine was. I'm already buying a second as a gift for someone.
LionSteel 8200 UL Mini Folding 2.36" Satin D2 Tool Steel Blade, Olive Wood Handles w/ Titanium Bolsters
Dcw
Novato, California
Jul 24, 2017
Pros: Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Feel, Pocket Clip
It's nice but I wouldn't order it again
First of all, the leather lanyard gizmo was not included. Not a major issue as that wasn't a product feature that I cared about. But somebody dropped the ball. As for the knife, it's okay but I wouldn't call it special. The olive wood handle has virtually no charachter at all, and feels more like a softwood like doug fir. And since it isn't really sealed, it is already getting dirty. Meh. When you remove the "removeable" pocket clip you're left with two holes in the bolster unless you replace the two screws. But when you do that, because they're too long they don't lie flush with the bolster and stick out. I don't think that is fixable unless the manufacturer included two shorter screws to use as plugs. It's a jeans pocket item so none of this is a big deal, but I will not likely buy a LionSteel product again. The customer service experience with KnifeCenter was great otherwise. The product quality isn't really their fault.
