Underrated

I keep reading these reviews about people having serious issues with this knife. Due to some amazing sales, I've been able to pick up three in various color ways. I fidget with and carry all three. All have been perfect. They feel so nice. These are refined beasts. I can't speak on their longevity, but have owned lionsteel knives before and am not worried about it. I don't know if people are just getting lemons or if this design attracts some intellectually-challenged people. I keep waiting for a lockbar insert to pop off, but it hasn't happened yet. 7 months in and all three look and feel new. Also, it's big. But at under 5 oz, it actually feels agile in the hand. I really like these.

Wow, Just Wow

My first foray into this type of Karambit blade. The blade is thick, nicely oriented with thumbpoint to rest your thumb and provide more torque. The steel is Magnacut so no more to say there, top of the line. The handle is large, I mean large, with the hole being of ample size as well. This is meant for a larger hand for sure and could use some titanium to line the inside of the handle for a more sturdy feel. Other than that it is excellent piercing with the hawkbill then tearing through with the rest of the blade!

Atypical wants met with an atypical knife

Redoing a review after receiving a defunct knife. Knife center was excellent at getting a replacement in a timely manner. Fair shake review below Lionsteel, Emerson, knife center, or any other vendor reading: PLEASE, make a knife just like this but trade the hawksbill for a general purpose edc blade shape and straighten the handle out. That would easily make the most convenient/handy knife for day to day edc tasks on the market, hands down. A handle ring with Emerson wave cannot be beat in terms of convenience of use. I set the pocket clip so the blade deploys on the forward draw as opposed to back draw. Instead of my index finger my pinky goes into the ring and pop! I have a tip up cutting tool in my hand with the option of blade facing towards me or away. For work I make cuts with the blade edge towards me and then my thumb is right next to the lock. I can get the knife out of pocket, into use and put back easier/safer/faster than if I were using a fixed blade and sheath. Forget the tacticool, this knife is so. dang. CONVENIENT.

Home run hit with one huge flaw.

Picked this up in a quest to find a folder that's ideal for my work as a paramedic/first responder. Design, set up, ergonomics, blade geometry and edge profile were all spot on what I was looking for. Absolutely loved it. If you don't have more robust hands the lock bar is a touch difficult to push out of the way to close. Fine for me though. The lock bar, nubs and detents is where it literally fell apart though. Specifically the the nub and detent that retains the closed blade and provides friction for the flipper tab action. On closing the blade the nub on the lockbar that engages with a detent in the blade was catching as the knife rotated back onto it. This made closing inconsistent, difficult, and clunky. Assumed it was a very minor defect in machining that would wear itself smooth with use. Fast forward a week into having it and the nub on the lockbar actually broke off. The blade now has nothing to retain it in the closed position, flipper tab now useless, blade falls open in my pocket. Living in the states the lionsteel warranty, shipping, etc seems less than ideal or trustworthy. Debating going through warranty process or tap and die my own repair into it.
