Holds an edge forever
I love how thick the blade is for how I use this knife, I don't worry about anything breaking. I cut straps and bands from pallets all day, something that's always made me have to touch up my knives pretty frequently. The bands hold heavy steel so they are very thick plastic. I can go weeks without doing anything to this and it still takes whatever I throw at it. I love how precise the tip is for cutting the plastic wrap off of pallets. I did add opposing side serrations to the middle of this blade so I can use leverage on the bands, they slice through with one go, where most people's knives either slip off, or they're constantly replacing their box cutter blades. I'm a huge fan of the Emerson wave and the finger ring for ripping it out of my pocket with the blade open which is a pretty big hit in the warehouse. Nobody's willing to spend the money though to get one as well! I steepened the angle on my knife just a hair and it cuts through paper just as easy as a coworker of mine that has nice name brand knives, so I'm not sure what that other reviewer is talking about. I've gotten that bit of turning the knife slightly and using my index finger to disengage the frame lock because it's pretty stout but that's not a downfall in my opinion. I pre-ordered this knife and was one of the first to get it from knifecenter, so I've had it for a bit and could not be happier for what I use it for. I have plenty of other knives if I want a slicer, this thing isn't for that, it's for not letting you down when you need it. And I have multiple karambits, I love the deep carrying pocket clip on this!
