Incredible value for a knife made with a premium supersteel like M390!

I use this as my primary hunting knife for whitetailed deer and wild hogs in Texas. This season so far I've skinned two whitetail bucks with no noticeable loss in edge holding ability. I simply hit a leather strop when I got home and within a few strokes, it was back to hair shaving sharp. I have this exact blade with the exception of olive wood handles instead of the G10 version. LionSteel has created an incredible blade here for the price. The perfect size and length for most hunting and bushcraft chores. Couple that with premium M390 super steel from Bohler-Uddeholm, and extremely high quality leather work for the sheath, and this blade is an incredible value at this price point. The ergonomics and attention to detail on this knife also sets the standard for any knife at this price, and even surpasses several blades in terms of build quality, that cost quite a bit more. All edges are rounded and smooth and I experienced no "hot spots" while using the knife extensively. The micro texturing that LionSteel adds to the Olive wood scales is literally a work of art in it's smoothness of execution. You will wonder how they did it. The sheath is a bonus that surprises instead of disappoints. While you would think that LionSteel would have to cut costs somewhere when you see the actual blade, the leather sheath is equally impressive, considering it's included in the modest price. It is heavy duty veg tanned leather, beautifully executed in design with hand stitched double lacing, and completely functional as well as comfortable to wear all day in the field. As a an avid outdoorsman, hunter, survivalist, and knifemaker, I've owned and used hundreds of knives. You would be hard pressed to find a better overall knife and sheath anywhere at this price point.

Nice Knife

It's another bushcraft knife for my collection. If you want to see people using this knife to baton wood, there are videos aplenty on Youtube. Even though the tang is ever so higher than the G10 handle scales, the handle is very comfortable to hold. The leather sheath is very well designed and made. It will be great if an optional Kydex sheath is available. For the price, it's value for a fixed blade made of M390 steel.
