Love this Knife!

This is by far my favorite knife I own. I first found out about this knife watching DCA in his best knife from every brand videos. As someone who was very new to knives the unique styling of the integral handle really appealed to me. I was a little nervous to purchase my first over $200 knife with some less than stellar reviews. But it worked out. This is by far my favorite knife. Is it a slicy as my Spydercos? No. But it's not supposed to be with that geometry. It comes out of the box sharp, but I did choose increase that for my preferences. The m390 does not quit, and has held an edge without needing to be reworked since I initially did for the year that I owned this blade. The handle is very comfortable in hand, the knife always feels secure in use, there's enough texture to ensure that. The dual locks are a nice peace of mind feature, the clip works surprisingly well, and it flips very smoothly for such a large knife. Especially after a good cleaning and break in. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase and will pick up more Lionsteel products after how enjoyable this one has been.

Solid ROK

I received my ROK today (earlier than scheduled) so that was a nice surprise. The packaging was very well thought out and executed with a level of care not commonly found in many deliveries but the packaging isn't of high importance to me but it was nice to see that LS is proud of their product. The first thing I noted was how well the knife felt in my large hand. The second thing I noted is that deploying the blade using the flipper was not as crisp as I would have hoped but this isn't a big deal to me, either. It will likely get better over time, anyway. The sharpness of the cutting edge is perfect, I could probably shave with it. The coating on the M390 blade was flawless. I really like the H.WAYL pocket clip, it makes holding the knife so much more comfortable than other knives. It is a moderately expensive knife but I think the craftsmanship and the high-quality materials are worth it to me. I have the THRILL knife and really really think that one is a great one to take to work (office). The knife performs well in every category except the flip as mentioned. If the cool factor of deploying the blade with lightning speed is important, you might pick another. You really can't go wrong and if you haven't experienced an LS product you might want to check them out. I'm glad I did. this would make a great gift for the man or young teen who deserves quality out of the box.

Great knife but...

I use this product daily to cut open things and sometimes food prep. It's really great in many ways but one. It's great at cutting, of course, but it isn't a snappy opening knife like the video shows (at least mine does not). This is my only complaint and disappointment. Otherwise, you can't beat the quality, looks, and functionality. The pocket clip design is genius and more companies should do something similar.

This one is going back

How a knife comes out of the box says a lot. The first thing I noticed is that the blade looked like it had been burnt, there was kinda soot like coloring (heat treatment?) But it was all uneven. The second thing I noticed is that it was hard to push over the lock mechanism to fold the knife. The third thing I noticed is you really had to snap it open to lock. Just all around not impressed. Sticking with Spyderco and the US manufacturers for now. Also, aluminum handles are just no where near as light, grippy, or attractive as their fiber/plastic counterparts. One other thing, the hidden clip idea is a bad one.
