Pleasantly Surprised

I don't usually buy knives made beyond the USA borders so I took a chance on this one. I have nothing but praise for this knife. I'm Very happy with it. Why? Well, the function and craftsmanship are evident immediately. This is an excellent "gentleman's knife" and would be a great addition to someone's collection or as a gift to someone who appreciates quality. LionSteel has my newfound respect. Highly recommend for the right person and use.

The Finest Slipjoint I've Owned

I got this to celebrate a new job with better pay, expecting the knife to be nice. I was totally blown away. I own plenty of knives. Because of where I travel, it's good for me to have a slipjoint, since locking blades aren't always legal. I was expecting basically a SAK with nice steel. Boy oh boy, is this not that. The blade itself gives me tremendous confidence, as it's thicker and made of better steel than my bugout. The hilt isn't just solid, it is gorgeous. Honestly, if there was an aluminum model that had this finish, I'd have gone for that. That said, I'm not sorry I got this. The hilt feels perfect in the hand. I almost forget that it's non-locking. Some reviews I read complained about the clip. I don't know what they're going on about. The clip is wonderful. It's discrete, works in a jacket or trouser pocket and, since it retracts, it doesn't adulterate the feel of the knife in the hand. This is my first Lionsteel knife, but I can assure you that it won't be my last. What an amazing thing this is. Get one. Your grandkids will no doubt treasure it long after it outlasts you.

A remarkable design and technological achievement

Who would have ever imagined a ball bearing slip joint knife with a solid titanium frame/handle that has as an integral part a spring tempered titanium backspring,, and a hidden Pocket clip? I have eschewed metal handled knives as being uncomfortable in the hand with an unpleasant texture, but this titanium handle is exceptionally comfortable and warm feeling in the hand, and with no Anodizing that can wear off. The natural titanium color is extremely pleasing. The contouring and texturing of the titanium handle make it extremely comfortable in the hand. The 0.130 in thick M390 blade is quite Stout for a knife this size and yet quite nimble with a very sharp tip. It is an excellent blade shape. The combination of the relatively thick blade for this type of knife and the solid titanium frame make for a knife that is quite rigid and strong, capable of quite heavy duty use. Yet the Elegance of this design and the Perfection of its execution make this knife entirely suitable for any purpose ranging from everyday carry to attending the Opera. It's mechanism is unbelievably smooth and solid feeling and the noise it makes when opening and closing is Crisp and most impressive, further contributing to this knife's feeling of solidity. I love the clip that hides in the blade when not in use. My favorite place to carry a knife is in the breast pocket of my shirt and the elegant clip design emulates the clip of an expensive pen for discreet carry. I also love the stylized lion head logo on the button that you push to utilize the clip. It is a logo worthy of Lionsteel, a company that I believe has achieved the Pinnacle of knife making design and manufacture. This is my third lionsteel knife and all three of them are perfect in their design and manufacture such that I would wish to change absolutely nothing about any of them. I am 78 years old and have been collecting knives for more than 40 years. I never thought I would live long enough to see a knife that was so perfect that I would change nothing about it!
