Lansky Tactical Retractable Diamond Sharpening Rod

Works great on very dull blades. It will "reset" your edge on almost anything, and then bring a fast edge to it. Does need a lanyard hole somwhere....

A Perfectly Usable Field Tool

I used this to put an edge on a couple of very old and dull knives. The carbide took the metal off very easily and the diamond rod was able to refine the edge satisfactorily. The materials used are very durable.

fine not great.

i bought mine awhile back and used it on the job sites keep my knife sharp after i finished cutting dry wall. the rod got stuck way too often, and at some point the plastic washer in the rod mech. just broke and gave out. im still looking for a metal one to replace it though.

good for the first 2 weeks

this rod worked great when I first got it and then after about 2 weeks the dimond rod got jammed and I called lansky and they sent me a new one then 3 days after I got the new rod the rod wore out and I called lansky again and they sent me a new one and the rod got jammed and I couldn't fix it and I called lansky one last time ad they said that I would have to send it in but the shipping was 18.35 Canadian dollars and the rod only costs 15 so I just didn't send it in. by the way I ordered all of these from the lansky web site not knife center
