Perfect Garage Tool Sharpener

Love this thing! I can finally stop butchering mower blades, pruners, and other tools by using my Dremel with a sanding disc. Nice size, and the dual grit is super handy. I will probably buy another one soon.

I bought the puck to sharpen my tomahawk and my machete. Following the enclosed instructions, which includes oiling the stone, is easy. I used Lansky honing oil and I have gotten good results. FWIW the tools that I have used it on are a Tramontina machete and a Cold Steel Tomahawk. So far I have had no issues with the puck.

Nice tool for camping or fishing

I take this sharpener everytime I go camping or fishing. The coarse side is great for axes and the fine side is good for knives. Don't expect to get a razor's edge from just this stone, but it will keep your tools decently sharp. Also, it weighs almost nothing and the round shape makes it easy to pack unlike files or square stones.

Great axe stone

Nice and thick, so it is safe and easy to hold. The stone isn't too soft so it holds it's shape with hard use, and the coarse side works well for roughing out an axe bit.

Infinitely Useful

I used this after roughing out the shape with the Lansky Cermaic file when reprofiling my axes. This is a dual grit stone that will fit into your jacket pocket for use in the field. I sharpened 6 axes using both grits and can not see where the stone shape changed. I can see the use pattern, but that is normal for stones.

Works great, easy to handle, sharpens nicely. Make sure to apply some sharpening oil before sharpening.

Great Sharpener for Axes

I am primarily using this to sharpen my Estwing Sportsman's Axe after camping trips and it works great. I like that you can use it. with oil or water. Easy to use. Great buy.

Works great glad I bought it

I used it to sharpen my unles axe and some of my swords and I've been satisfied every time with the sharpness. I would recommend caution though because I had gotten cut because I was over zealous.

Not useable...

I used the puck to sharpen axes. It worked for a while, then it clogs with filing dust and becomes unusable. No instruction come stating whether or not to use honing oil or how to clean the puck. I am stuck with a worthless tool!!!!
