Great product!
The Super Sapphire hone does exactly what it's advertised to do. When used with the other Lansky hones, the Super Sapphire will put a very nice polished edge on an already sharpened blade.

My Newest Must Use Tool
I have been a Lansky User/Fan for decades. I had seen the mixed reviews on the Saphire Hone and dedcided that I had to see for myself how it worked. Several days of rain brought enough boredom that I decided that some sharpening must need to be done. I hauled out three knives (2 154cm, 1 S 30V) in various shades of sharpness. I used the diamond hones as needed down through the "fine" then moved on to the Saphire. In each case the blade was quickly brought to a "hair popping" level of sharpness quickly. I don't know whether this hone should be a replacement or supplement to the Ultra Fine (yellow holder) hone that I had been using as I am unsure which is supposed to be more fine. I can say however that the Saphire produces an edge as sharp as I need, more quickly than I have been able to achieve in the past. I will experiment more as time goes on but for me the hone is a deffinite "keeper"!

Great polising tool.
Best possible accessory for your grinding system. Easy and fast can polish already sharpened blade. Super tool. I always finish sharpening the blades in this manner. In this way the blade retains its sharpness. Of course, if you know what you are doing and use high-quality knives in the proper way depending on the application. Thank Lansky.

It does what it says only wish i was blue like in the picture. Its arrived but color was white im happy with the stones performance.

HAD TO FIX IT BEFORE I COULD USE IT.
When I took the package out of the box the stone was loose from the holder. Instead of sending it back, I decided to glue it back in.( hope it stays glued) So far so good. After I left it clamped over night, I used it, and it worked well. I also replaced the thumb screw with a 10-24 socket head cap screw as I do on all my Lansky hones.( it gives more travel) I started with a fine diamond hone, went to the ultra fine ceramic hone, then to the sapphire hone. My blade was noticeably sharper after the sapphire so I'm satisfied with it. I've seen that some people had to flatten the surface on theirs before they could use it, but this one was fine. Gave it four stars because I had to fix it before I could use it. I'm sure if I had contacted Knife Center they would have replaced it, I just think Lansky should make sure their stuff stays together. To be fair though, this is the first time I've had this happen, and I've got a lot of their stuff. And as other people have said, the hone is white, not blue, not that it really matters, but it would be nice to know what you're getting.

Lansky QC needs work
Bought this to supplement the universal set that I got from Lansky. Unfortunately I noticed that whenever I used this hone it would actually make my knives duller after using the yellow ultra-fine. This is because the stone was more wavy than Hawaiian beaches in surf season. It took me over 3 hours with a diamond plate to finally get this thing flattened. If you buy, check the level on it before using it.
