My new EDC "GET OFF ME!" knife!

The Meyerco BESH Wedge is a little funny looking at first, but after a second look, I decided that it is absolutely perfect! It is NOT an all-purpose knife, I seriously doubt you could cut steak or peel fruit with it, but as a final-chance life-savor, I don't think it can be beat! It is definately my new and permanent EDC "GET OFF ME!" knife (EXCEPT for the rare occasion that a non-metallic EDC is necessary), carried behind my back on the included neck lanyard. It is lightweight, therefore it does not strangle me pulling on the cord, and I can even pull the cord down below my collar in front to conceal the cord, and it stays (for a while). I plan to add some sort of 'masculine' beads or charm to the cord, for camoflage. I would absolutely recommend this knife to anyone looking for a lightweight, strong EDC.

Awesome value

I bought a couple of these knives to stash in my vehicle and go bag. Great knife for the price. Wish the scabbard had clip for different mounting options, but it's a neck knife so not a deal breaker. All around good buy.

good last ditch blade

This is a blade that is best for stabbing more than slashing. It might open boxes and cut cords but that is not the purpose of a neck knife. It comes with a piece of string to hang it around your neck that feels too thin. I tried a length of paracord then found a beaded chain that felt best.

Great little knife for the money

This knife hangs from a clip on my EDC backpack.It has a stout blade with a BESH wedge.If you don't know about BESH wedge blades,Google it and you'll find out that it is quite an innovative design that makes for a very strong blade that is good for cutting,but also for prying,chipping,etc..In a self defense scenario I think that this knife would do well,and leave some nasty wounds for any attackers. As the specs state it's 440 stainless,which is nice in a 5 dollar knife,and it has a lifetime warranty,though if one had a problem with it,it would probably be cheaper to just buy a new one then send it back! I have'nt had any problems with the sheath and knife coming apart easily,but I do keep both the sheath AND the knife tethered to my backpack just in case. The only minus for me is the handle material.I would have preferred something a bit more "grippy",maybe a rubberized handle. To wrap things up;the knife appears to be well made,uses decent steel,and is cheap. What more could I ask for for 5 bucks! I'm giving it 4 stars because of the handle material.

Good value for the price paid

Good value for the price. I was visualizing it to be a little larger, but it still should be adequate for most any task. I keep it on me when working around the house, it is easier than fishing my pocket knife out each time. I bought a couple of extras for small casual gifts. Handle is somewhat small, but is to scale for the blade size.

BESH review.

Good knife for the price. Not a showpiece, but as an everyday carry (in my boot, on patrol...) it does fine. Good for utility/prying type tasks. I bought 3, so so worries if lost or broken. For the price it cant be beat. Had to add a clip for boot carry- not their fault, it was advertised as a neck knife. Needs significant sharpening out of the box. The blade shape is great for prying/chiseling/stabbing/puncturing tasks.

Not what expected

Not exactly what I thought when I ordered. Overall, it is okay in an emergency. Not very sharp and has a blunt point. Makes a nice little gift,

Review of Meyerco BEST Wedge

The back part of the blade is sharper than the front, which seems to be the reverse of what is needed. The point is sharp which is a plus. Overall, materials are good for a knife of this price. The sheath could be a little more secure in holding the knife in place.
