Great idea that works for knives without pocket clips.

I bought this knife slip slash pocket sheath for carrying traditional folding knives. It is the best one I ever used. It will hold any knife four inches long or a little longer inside your pocket. The only thing you see is the leather strap. It works for any pocket left or right and keeps the knife from being lost inside the pocket. It protects shiny traditional folding knives from being marked and scratched. It is universal and enables using it for more than one size of knife. The suede like leather is well made and the magnets help hold the knife from slipping out of the sheath. I wouldn’t use it as a belt sheath but, you can if you wanted.

Caveat Emptor

First, the positive: The leather is very nice. Soft texture, nice rich brown. My Benchmade Proper Proper fits it nicely, as a point of size reference. Now, the negative: Don't believe the description or the reviews that say the magnets are strong enough. I've tried on the belt, and I've tried using as mentioned in the description to hold it on the pocket like a clip. In both places, the sheath slides right off pocket or even belt. With the strap, it's too bulky to just use as a pocket slip, too. Plus it would be problematic if you had anything else magnetic in that pocket (like keys, etc.) If I were rating purely on the magnets, I'd have returned it, to be honest. If that's why you're buying it, I'd recommend looking at other products. Since it's otherwise so nicely constructed, I think I'm just going to cut the strap off and remove the other magnet and use it as a pocket slip.
