Practice

There definitely is a way to EASILY open this knife. Rather than pushing on the lever (which is hard to do) you simply roll the lever with your thumb. Roll/slide your thumb rearward on the lever & the blade snaps open. Once you learn this method/technique it's an easy knife to open.

Top notch

Being a stroke survivor and having only one working hand my brother got me this knife for Christmas thinking it would be easy for me to use with only one hand and he was right it is a very fine tool.

Cool looking, but very difficult to open

This advertisement says this knife has both a "flat ground" blade as well as a "Blade Grind: Hollow". Mine appears to be "flat". Despite looking very cool and well built, mine is nearly impossible to open and as such, I don't recommend it.
