First time purchasing a Mantis brand folder. I LIKE IT! Using it as an EDC. My only concern, it is a little heavier than my other EDCs but that makes it a bit sturdier. Also the Tanto angle tip is at a greater angle which makes it less advantageous for "Stabbing"!

This is worth a 3.5 star rating in reality. The lock up is very secure, the opening is easy and smooth, the blade is decently sharp (not a huge fan of chisel grinds though), very cool blade design, and it feels pretty good in the hand. However, the G10 definitely should have more grip, it's a bit too slick. The blade centering is quite good, although it's a bit hard to tell because of the way the knife is ground at the tip, and it's shape in general. Like I said, very cool blade design, different for sure. But I like that because would you rather blend in or stand out?

In certain ways, you can use this as a rescue knife with the glass breaker tip and prying abilities, but in the absence of a dedicated belt cutter you need to be very careful when it comes to cutting open slim-fitting clothings to get to the victim’s wound. Not an EDC knife, but with its broad and relatively strong blade you can use it for specific crafting or some maintenance work like splitting bonded surfaces, some light chiseling, or scraping. What’s good: - Pretty sharp out of the box. - Feels good in the hand, albeit not the most comfortable. - Serration can be used as a line / belt cutter. - Good multi-purpose blade, which also features a bottle opener when closed. - Right amount of detent. - 2-tone blade and its peculiar shape make it a very hi-tech-looking knife. What’s bad: - The liner lock on mine didn’t sit in the middle when the blade was fully extended. It’s got around 1/4 of its width sitting outside (to the left) of the tang. I had to do a bit of filing on the tang to allow the liner to go further right to get a full secure lock. - The ‘triangular’ thumb plate isn’t the most user-friendly, and not enough purchase when wearing gloves.

I like the knife. Opening and closing are smooth and it feels nice and crisp. Blade seems to be of good quality and came nice and sharp. Knife feels good in the hand. Having problems with the clip. Bent and twisted the clip on 4th day of wearing it. Bent it back in place. Two days later it was bent and twisted again. Possibly hanging on seat belt when getting out. Now it's sitting in drawer. Not sure what to do to fix issue with that.
