I edc this knife all the time and have used it for a number of things from cutting paper to whittling wood an cutting up plastic and cardboard and haven't had a single issue it's built like a tank and to get cpm-440v (s60v) steel on a 50-60 dollar knife is why it's a steal now if you're ino the lighter slimmer knives this one may not be for you it is a beefy one but I like that about it gives an awesome grip I'd easily recommend this knife
Mantis MT-9c Tough Tony Folding Knife 2.375" Blade, G10 Handles
This is a very well made knife from Mantis. I agree its built like an M1A1 Abrhams tank and should easily last a lifetime of hard use. The function, fit and finish are very good. Takes and holds a razor edge a very long time. Easily equals Elmax and M390 in this area. Only steel I only own that out does it is S90V. Getting a knife that is of this type of steel at this price is a true bargain. If your looking for a small indestructible pocket knives give this a try. This is truly one overbuilt beast of a smaller EDC.

This hefty little beast certainly seems solid. I only handled it briefly and opened it a couple of times to test the fit and feel. Unfortunately, despite the photo depicting a partially-serrated blade, the model that I received had a plain edge blade. (Speaking of which, I always want to ask knife makers who offer models with only a plain edge option "What can you do with a plain edge that you can't do with a partially-serrated edge?"). Based on brief first impression, I would surely look at Mantis products in the future, but I have to have a partially-serrated blade for an EDC knife. No matter how sharp an edge is, there are certain situations that call for serrations and I never want to be caught without a knife that's up to the task.
