Great Machete

I love this machete. Bought it a few months ago and today I tested it outdoors so I can really review it. First, the knife itself is well build, looks good and is quality,. The handle is cheap, but the blade is razor sharp and very sturdy. I tried it out today clearing some branches/trees off my friends property. The machete worked excellently. It cleared everything with ease, no problems. The only negative was when I used the top of the machete (which is sharp and good for roots) for removing a knot of wood, it knicked ever so slightly, but that's more my fault for attacking the knot. Overall, for the price of the machete, its a great buy. I recommend 10/10.

Rating based on price-the handle is tough to predict as far as durability. Very sharp and color makes it easy to see.

EXCELLENT Value, GREAT knife for the $$

I own 15 different machetes and use them often for yard work and camping. This Marbles Bolo knife is the best money value knife for sure, end of story. The blade is IMACASA, El Salvador - BEST in the world in my opinion. Like some of the other reviews here, you may want to tweak the wood handle for better grip and comfort. I sanded mine and smoothed it, added some linseed oil and wear gloves when using it. I can see where athletic tape would help also. Make no mistake - GREAT VALUE MACHETE.

Great value and quality

Good quality finish for the money. Very sharp. Be careful that both sides of tip are sharp! I like the color. My only complaint is the sticker on the blade, its small, but I hate that, they're a pain in the ass to remove. Great deal and quality, perfect camp size.

this is an amazing product. i use it when i camp to cut limbs and virtually anything else, very strong and thick blade. i have no complaints.

The Condor similar model is much better, several times the price but a much better too, micarta handle, worth the money. I have both will buy a spare condor next week. both good, one excellent

Awesome

Don't let the size fool you. This thing has a good design and works out great for chopping brush and small softwood trees. I took it with me on a camping trip and by the end of the trip everyone was asking where did I get it from. The sheath that is purchased separately is not all that great. The blade is so sharp that putting the blade back into the sheath you cut the sheath easily. I plan on getting some thick leather and make my own sheath.

Excellent for the price

I work on a survey field crew. Brushing line is almost a daily occurrence. Machetes used in the past were flimsy and hard to sharpen. The Marbles Camp Bolo is rigid and the double edge allows for an effective back-swing. I almost went back to the truck to get an axe for a 5 inch maple. The bolo handled it just fine. The handles are a little slippery when your hand starts sweating. I wrapped some athletic tape around the handle and the problem was solved. Great product, great price.

For the price--- excellent machete

I wrap all mine with tennis racket tape for added diameter and padding in the handle. Cheap steel is easy to sharpen. Light enough to use all day.

I have been a long term user of machetes for field & forrest tasks for many years and find them truly useful up to this point I have usually used Ontario Knife Co standard issue jungle machete 18" have used a Gerber which I thought was actually sligthly inferior to the Ontario just on feel BUT this Marble knife is something else (too bad I paid too much for it at a knife& gun show) the shorter blade makes it very useful in tighter spots and the double edge is good/ sharpness out of the package was excellent 5+ stars / the grip is ok but not great I suspect that after market jury rigging will be needed later all in all though I think I'm kind of in love with this little blade
