Seems pretty tough

Have not had much chance to beat the sheath up yet. I work on a survey field crew and clear tons of brush every year. I have been leaving the sheath behind at the truck because it has the tendency to flop when I walk and gets hung up in the briars. Not sure how long the Cordura will hold up with the sharp edge I keep on the bolo. The sharpening stone was a suprise bonus and it works extremely well. I would advise anyone who is not familiar with edged tools to be careful until time is spent with the bolo. The stone provided and the steel in the blade can be honed razor sharp. That is why I am wondering about the life expectancy of the sheath. Otherwise the sheath is well worth the extra money.

Get Two! Huge Value quality all around

I was impressed at the quality to price ratio on this fine machete. Good steel just the right thickness for the heavier stuff but yet not so heavy as to wear you down. Nice sheath - wish they made a micarta handle for this one. I'm a big machete fan and like the utility of the bolo style - I have a cold steel bolo, a heavy condor bolo, an ESEE, and even bought a Blind Horse. But I'll probably use this one the most.

At least it’s only 10 bucks

Came with a sharpening stone so that’s cool, but after light use (ie transporting in sheath) my machete cut the stitching pretty bad. It can be repaired tho. You definitely get what you pay for with this one
