Extremely Solid

I have owned this knife for over 10 years now and I just have to say that it's a tank of a camping knife. There are certainly some drawbacks, but they come as a general criticism of the type of knife this is, and not of the knife quality or build. First off, as mentioned before, this thing is solid. Full tang and extremely thick with very durable sV30 steel. I have used it to do things that would have rolled the edge or tip of other knives. It is a fantastic batoning tool and has been used to split wood over and over again in the field using this method by me and my son. The blade is sharp but the bezel is surprisingly small. I think that has something to do with the SV30 steel and how difficult it can be to get it to sharpen. Once it's sharp though, that steel holds an edge for a long time. It is comfortable to hold, but if you have large hands, the chili handle might not be as comfortable for you. I find that I have very average-sized hands and it fits nicely but large hands might find it small. As for finesse work, this is where the criticism comes in. It's not a filet knife or a whittling knife, it's a heavy camp knife, and as such it doesn't excel in EVERY aspect required when you're outdoors. Again, that's not the knife's fault, and you can use it for these things to some success, but it's not what it was intended for. It was intended to take a beating, and it does that VERY very well.
