Pros: Blade Sharpness
Cons: None

Interesting and useful piece of history

Fun! I mean, you have to find foreign and historical stuff at least a little interesting, but if you do I'd take a good look. It's got the same old-school 1910s and 1920s industrial vibe as you see in Japanese films from the Fifties, is one way to explain it. And it's solid but crude, obviously functional and a good tool but seriously no frills. The blade came sharp, and the friction of the handle holds it firmly in place, so there's no problem using it. If you hold it with your thumb on the thumbpiece it actually takes some force to push the blade out of position as you use it. It's a perfect "package" knife, as some people call them, a utility knife for opening, trimming, something to stick in a drawer or pocket for everyday purposes. Again, that's assuming you get a kick out of or at least find some interest in the *idea* of it. One bonus if you sharpen is this is the kind of blade you can easily put a screaming edge on.
