you can sharpen the edge, with a file or even a flat rock if you have no other sharpener, it wont look pretty but it will work. all the other tools work well and is a good price

I carry this on my keys everywhere I go. It's small, light, and effective. The only tool i've found to be rather useless is the box cutter feature because a.) it isn't sharp enough to cut tape - let alone cardboard and b.) if it was sharp enough, it seems like an excellent way to be detained by airport security when you inevitably forget it is there. All the other features are good though!

I Recycle

I bought this tool specifically for the tape cutter. Obviously it is not sharp enough to cut cardboard! It would have to be sheathed if it was. Perhaps tape cutter would be a better description. It cuts through tape to tear down boxes for recycling just fine. My knife blade does not have to be gunked up! The bottle opener works OK. A nice handy tool for its intended use.

Wouldn't buy again

I've had it for almost a year. The "box cutter" is more like a tape splitter as it's just a pointy, filed down edge of the screw driver. The bottle opener has worn down and doesn't grip very well. It will probably be useless in a few months. This has served me well and is worth the price, but I think I'll just use my old swiss army knife from now on.

Ok, but...

Its small and convenient to carry, read other reviews here, they are accurate. I will add one additional think, The markings for the ruler are not deep enough or blackened so you can see them rendering them pretty much useless. I realize you probably not buying this to measure things 2" or less, but since they put them on it, they should have done them properly. As to how it will hold up under use, mine is to new to tell.
