Good outdoor Tradesman Knife Good value

Bought the item based on looks and blade material. It is a little large for EDC but still acceptable. The edge had a burr which did not redily strop out but other wise the knife was sharp. The skeletonized handle keeps it light and slim. barely noticeable in my pocket. the blade is big enough to do some bigger brush work on the river I live by, heavy vines, saplings and such. The edge is holding up and banana boxes are delt with dispatch. I'm pleased to put it in my EDC rotation.

Geat Blade

I've had this knife for several months now and had it in rotation with two other brands; a CIVIVI with the same steel and a WE Practic M-390 steel.I use my knives like I stole'm not like I own'em. M390 performs like a champ . . . and of course costs like it. That being said The 9cr steel in the Vertebrae took some doing for me to find the edge the strop it to the edge I wanted. opening boxes cutting bands, hard yard work this fall, and actually using it in the kitchen! this knife and this steel perform quite well.Stellar would be an apt description at this price. Some compare it to AUS 8A it far out preformed that steel. so the heat treat and the grind on the blade make this knife well worth the money. i have batoned it through 2X4's and branches pryed things apart. in other words this knife will do a days work. If I payed $100 or more I wouldn't do this to it, but I didn't So get out there guys and beat on those EDC's and then review them. Thanks.

Excellent knife.

This is a wonderful knife. Weight, balance, look, feel, textured handle, blade, and quality. The picture doesn't do it justice. Those familiar with Spyderco, it reminds me of a Tenacious flip.

Nice design.

This knive has a different look which was the seller for me besides my name being Heyne. There is absolutely no play in this. A little hard to flip at first due to the design and no thumbstud, but you get it. Beffy blade which I like and will feel comfortable for edc. I am very happy with the price and the look of this knive. By the way it is very smooth in delivering the blade.

Nemesis, not Emesis

There are times when I have succumbed to the unique appearance of a knife a purchased it. I know that this is an uncommon ailment and hope that you will forgive me. The F&F are very good. The Spydie oval works very well to open the blade with one hand. The blade was badly centered at the time of my writing this. All it took to center it was a quarter turn with a T8 bit. (Excuse me while I look for my Loctite.) I have not done any prolonged cutting with this but I believe that the clip will create a hotspot along the palmar side of my knuckles. (Right hand.) I do like the clip, despite that fact that it is not a deep carry. I have read that this steel is roughly equivalent to 440C. If the finger choil is that, it's a fail. Too small. If the sharpening choil is that, it is a fail. Too big. I have no regrets in this purchase.

Not Bad

I was drawn in by the looks. Took a minute to break in. The little handle it has is pretty aggressive and tears my pocket up. No lanyard hole, no flicker bar. The only way to actuate the blade is the blade hole. Easier to flick with the finger than the thumb for some reason. When open you don't have much handle to work with. I have a larger hand and it feel skinny. I like the blade but the jimping on top of the spine is pretty aggressive and pointy. Pocket clip is great. liner lock is smooth. Very sharp out of the box. My favorite thing about it is the look.
