Nice addition to my EDC collection

My first purchase of a North Mountain Blade knife, this KC exclusive is quite nice. I was a bit worried about the orange color, but seeing it firsthand, it really works. The fit and finish are excellent and the overall construction looks very professionally done. The action was super smooth out of the box (oh yeah, it comes in a custom plastic box, similar to a little Pelican case, pretty cool) and I personally like beefy, hand-filling knives. This one fills my XL hands! The Hamon blade finish is quite handsome, but I have no real opinion about the steel and I don't particularly care as I have no intentions for any real practical use. It did take a light stropping fairly well as it was slightly sharpish out of the box. I don't see actually carrying it, it's just a collection addition for me. I like it enough that I will probably get the button/liner-lock version as well.

very nice

very cool knife. the action is smooth the color and texture of the handle is awesome. it feels very solid in your hand.my son said he would have liked a little deeper carry clip but I'm not sure on that. the way it's set up shows some color, which i really like. great size and shape. i didn't think i would like anything bigger than my Kershaw leek but i was wrong. my new favorite knife.

For 100$ you have to buy this knife you will not be disappointed! It is so smooth, sharp out of the box

I would compare this to a more affordable Benchmade Adamas, a little lighter and cheaper.

You Cannot go Wrong for the Price

You are missing out by not buying this especially for this price, this is now my second "Chop" model from this company, this one being the crossbar version instead of the button lock model, and both are amazing quality. The fit and finish is amazing, no blade play, no scuff marks, blade centering is perfect, drop shut action, AND just the blade alone I mean its a beauty, the grinds are even on both sides and the "hamon" sticks out very nice. Really love the G10 scales aswell, I'm not a big fan of the color orange but the pattern on this one is pretty cool. Overall this is a very "tough" feeling knife, the handles and blade stock are pretty thick, and it has quite a bit of weight to it. I only have two cons with this knife. The first being that there is some lock stick, which hopefully will go away over time. And second, I'm not a huge fan of the pocket clip, wish there was a deep carry option, because for how thick this knife is, the clip just makes it stick out a little too far for my liking. The tension and strength is great though.

Great knife. Just got it for valentines day.Love the size and look of it of it. Really a smooth knife. The Lil I have used it. It's been great. It is a lil heavy but still fine.

Great Knife

This knife came very sharp right out of the box. The crossbar lock works and locks up nicely. I can open with my thumb, flick it with my middle finger, or just wrist flick it using the lock. Comfortable in the hand. The clip is good. I don’t mind it not being a deep pocket clip. The only con I can think of is its weight. It is a little heavy but not a deal killer.

Good heavy use folding knife

Love the blade shape and look. Like a daily carry katana! I like the steel. Takes a good edge and the "hamon" is pretty cool. Though it gets pretty close to the edge at the tip portion. The handle shape is comfy and grippy. More than enough room for large hands. It's pretty heavy at 5.5oz. Not a knife for gym shorts. Build quality feels excellent and would make a good work knife.
